Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is digging one by one 'error' previous chief minister Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo in a government-linked companies (GLCs) Selangor, Selangor State Capital Berhad (PNSB).
This time, Dr Mohd Khir claimed benefits and remuneration as the chairman of PNSB before - including the Toyota Harrier facility branded cars, with drivers - but the matter alleged failure declared to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
"A group of advisers appointed Chief Minister of the Corporation (MBI) is currently doing an assessment of the performance of PNSB. In the process, found the previous chairman, Dr Mohd Khir had given Toyota Harrier in 2005 and provided a driver in 2006.
"He used all of the benefits until retirement as chairman in March 2008 PNSB. However, no facility specified in the form of assessment (EA) submitted by PNSB before, "said a statement the secretariat office of the chief minister of Selangor newspaper today.
The statement also claimed that PNSB also incur fuel consumption and maintenance of the Toyota car.
"Accordingly, the MBI today ordered PNSB submit a complete list of benefits and facilities given to among employees in the years previous to the IRB," the statement said.
The statement said Abdul Khalid, who is also chairman of MBI and PNSB opinion, the move was done to ensure that the Selangor GLCs not deny the law to pay income tax.
Financial Implications
Office of the chief minister also revealed, for several years, PNSB provides to its employees - including the chairman and members of the board of directors - in kind or cash, or two forms of these.
Facilities include car and driver as well as a holiday home and abroad, the statement added.
"The Minister is aware of staff concerns PNSB the financial implications as a result of its management failed to declare income in the EA form.
"He asked staff PNSB patience while waiting for IRB action to impose additional taxes on individuals who are related," said the statement.
Yesterday, Abdul Khalid said the board of directors PNSB now that there is bias in the acquisition of property 'Al Marwa Tower Mecca' in the name of the then chief minister, Dr Mohd Khir - raised by the external auditor.
Abdul Khalid also claimed that the purchase of 12 units of the transaction involving RM25 million, while the board of directors allegedly approved only about RM8 million to buy five units.
Angkatan Muda PKR yesterday evening - accompanied a cow - also informed the matter to the Election Commission (EC) in Shah Alam as well as to hand over 20 complaints against Dr Mohd Khir old who alleged not professionally investigated by the commission.
